The new edition of the Disaster Recovery Journal is out (Fall 2012). This edition includes their annual Executive Guide and the theme this year is “How to achieve true enterprise resiliency“.
You should read this, for no other reason than I have an article in the Executive report entitled “Why true enterprise resiliency is the responsibility of top executives“.
While the blog has been relatively quiet over recent weeks, perhaps even months, I have been busy with this article and the piece recently published in the Business Continuity and Resiliency Journal.
The article in the DRJ blends some of my favourite themes;
- the need for top executives to be engaged
- academic work on management and resilience by the likes of Kanter, Hamel, Valikangas and Sheffi
- the work of specific organisational resilience researchers like Rob Kay and the ResOrgs group in NZ,
- a reference to the Cynefin framework,
- with a practical “how to” list of actions to take.
I hope you read the article, and if you find it useful please leave a comment.
In fact even if you hate it a comment would be appreciated.
