The past week has been “Education Week” here – has been a common theme with several of my activities and posts for the week;
- The Cynefin Seminar with Dave Snowden on Tuesday
- The announcement that I am speaking at DRJ Spring World next year
Plus I finished booking to attend the Organisational Resilience Program at the Australian Emergency Management Institute at the end of November.
I am looking forward to this event – 3 days and 2 nights at a residential program to discuss and explore the concept of resilience.
The program will be facilitated by some of the leaders of the Australian Resilience Expert Advisory Group – plus the always entertaining and informative John Bircham from New Zealand. It will be an opportunity to hear others presenting their research on the subject, plus the invaluable opportunity to discuss the subject with a range of experts – both researchers and practitioners.
I will, of course, be posting about the session so watch for that, 30 November – 2 December.
Next week will also feature something of a theme – this time ‘Military Week’. A series of posts with military themes, and what we can learn and apply in the corporate space.
Rest assured I am not one of those who thinks that only ex-military or ex-Emergency Service folks are capable of managing a Crisis Team in the corporate world – but we need to learn where we can.
