… getting traction on embedding culture into BCM

It was very pleasing to see my Continuity Insights article ‘Embedding culture into BCM” being referenced by others. I used some of the thoughts in that paper in my session at the Australasia BC Summit earlier this month but even better when others pick up and reference the material.

The folks at Mission Mode used my article (and a related blog post on Cultural Theory) as the basis of their blog post “Creating a BCM-friendly culture“. Thanks for the cyber love guys!

Despite the additional material relating to culture in the new version of the Good Practice Guide, I think we are still going to get more value and engagement with our business peers if we first learn about how to utilise the ideas around culture in our own practice – and then try to focus on how to embed BC into the culture of our organisations.

Has anybody tried my “cultural web” exercise that the Mission Mode blog quoted?

What did you find out about your BCM Program?
